Onion Blanca Grande Pais Calcots has long and upright single stalks with dark green leaves and little or no bulb.The stalks also resemble slender leeks. Very tender and tasty. It is ideally planted during summer and can be blanched in the garden from 14 up to 16 in. long white shanks. These onions are best added on soups, stews and stir-fry dishes.
