Henna “Lawsonia Inermis” Mehendi Plant 0.8 to 1.0 m is native to north africa, A heavily-scented, much-branched, slender, evergreen shrub or small tree; usually grows up to 6-12 m tall. The stems and older branches can be spiny. It has been used for thousands of years as a cosmetic and hair dye that’s why it is one of the oldest cosmetics in the world and its leaves are used to colour the fingernails, to paint or decorate the palms of hands and soles of feet, and to dye the hair.It is used in many ceremonies, especially marriage. The plant is often cultivated in tropical and subtropical areas both for its use as a dye plant and also as an ornamental, being appreciated especially for the strong, pleasant fragrance of its flowers, which is reminiscent of tea rose (Rosa chinensis). The coloring can be processed by sun drying the leaves then take those dry leaves grind them into a powder and mix them with any type of acidic liquid such as lemon juice etc
